![]() ![]() When I look at the whole timeline at the bottom two it just shows me creating a component and then combining so i've tried that too and nope. What is a component in Fusion 360 Why do we need them Simply put, a component is a position and motion independent part of an assembly within our single design environment. ![]() The whole reason for wanting to do this is I'm going over this older project to add guide bits so everything is symmetrical and even for assembly after having it printed. ![]() Basically I'm having no luck combining the 3 bodies into one group or whatever so I can create a single STL file. So I tried combining the 3 bodies, select the main one as the target body and the other 2 as tools but all this does is keep the main target body as a regular body and then combine the other 2 bodies as a single component. Now I want to do the same with new bodies but if I select the 3 new bodies and create component it creates 3 separate components (which is how it should work unless I'm wrong). It worked fine and combined the 3 bodies no problem but I can't remember exactly how I did it. Sorry if this is super dumb but earlier in a project I took multiple bodies that I had modelled and combined into one component for a single STL file for 3D printing. ![]()
